In this guide

ARSYNL Rx is a veteran-founded telehealth company based in Dover, Delaware. You fill in a health form online, a US-licensed provider reviews it, and if they prescribe something, a partner pharmacy ships it to your door. It runs programs for hair loss, weight loss, hormone therapy and sexual health. This guide looks mainly at hair loss, the program most people start with, and at what to check before you pay for any online prescription.

This is general shopping information, not medical advice. A provider decides what's right for you, and it's worth talking to your own doctor too, especially if you take other medicines.

How an online visit works

ARSYNL Rx describes three steps: complete a health intake, have it reviewed by a licensed provider, then start treatment. There's no video call by default and no waiting room. The provider can say no, and a good one will if a treatment isn't a fit, so don't treat the intake as a checkout form. Answer the questions about your health and medicines honestly; they're what keeps the treatment safe.

The medicines behind most hair loss plans

Almost every hair loss program, online or at a dermatologist, is built on the same few medicines:

  • Minoxidil, applied to the scalp. It's FDA-approved for pattern hair loss and sold over the counter.
  • Finasteride, a daily tablet. It's FDA-approved for male pattern hair loss and needs a prescription. It works by lowering DHT, the hormone behind pattern hair loss.
  • Dutasteride, a stronger relative of finasteride. It's approved for enlarged prostate, and doctors sometimes prescribe it off-label for hair loss.

None of them work quickly. Plan on months of daily use before you judge the results, and expect hair gained to be lost again if you stop. The American Academy of Dermatology's treatment page is a good, plain-English overview.

What's in the APEX Stack

ARSYNL Rx's hair loss treatment, the APEX Stack, is a 90-day kit with two parts: a topical that you apply to your scalp each day, and a capsule taken each morning. The company lists minoxidil, dutasteride and caffeine in the topical. It costs $73 a month, or $219 every 90 days, and a provider has to approve it first.

The side effects ARSYNL Rx lists are the usual ones for these medicines: scalp irritation or redness from topicals, possible lower sex drive or erection problems with finasteride, and swelling or a faster heart rate with oral minoxidil. If you notice any of them, tell your provider rather than just stopping.

What "compounded" means

A compounded medicine is mixed by a pharmacy for an individual patient instead of being made by a drug company. Compounded medicines aren't FDA-approved, which means the FDA hasn't reviewed them for safety, effectiveness or quality. ARSYNL Rx says this on its own product pages, too.

This matters most for weight loss. ARSYNL Rx's tirzepatide program uses compounded tirzepatide, and the FDA has warned about unapproved GLP-1 drugs, including reports of dosing mistakes and fake products. If you're considering it, ask the provider exactly what you'll receive, how to measure each dose, and which pharmacy fills it.

Checks before you sign up

  • Is a prescription required? A real online clinic always asks for your health history before prescribing. ARSYNL Rx does.
  • Which pharmacy ships it? Ask, then look the pharmacy up with the FDA's BeSafeRx tool, which links to each state's license database.
  • Is the medicine FDA-approved or compounded? Both can be prescribed, but you should know which one you're getting.
  • What does it cost after the first order? Discounts usually apply only once, so compare the normal monthly price too.
  • How do you cancel? Check the subscription and refund terms before you pay.
